Ralph Hotere fue un artista neozelandés nacido en Mitimiti, Northland y es ampliamente considerado como uno de los artistas más importantes de Nueva Zelanda. He was awarded an honourary doctorate from the University of Otago in 1994 and received an Icon Award from the Arts Foundation of New Zealand in 2003.
