Biography:

Remo Taccani was an Italian painter born in Milan in 1891 and died in Milan in 1973. He was known for his paintings, particularly in the Italian repertory. Taccani's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 51 USD to 109 USD. He is represented in the art collections of Fondazione Cariplo in Italy, which includes 767 paintings, 116 sculptures, 51 objects and furnishings dating from the first century AD to the second half of the twentieth. The collection includes examples of Late Antiquity stone sculpture, of Mediaeval wooden sculpture, and of Italian Renaissance and Baroque painting; its strength is in its collection of nineteenth-century Italian paintings, particularly from Lombardy. Taccani is also known for his portrait of Giuseppe Riccardo Maggioni, painted in oil in 1935.
