Biography:

Riccardo Dalisi was an Italian architect, designer and artist. He was born in Potenza, Italy on May 1, 1931 and died on April 9, 2022. Dalisi was a prominent figure in the Radical period of Italian design, which took place in the late 1960s. He was known for his installation called 'Superarchitettura' and his work with the radical design movement, which included artists, designers and architects from Florence, Turin, Naples, Milan, and other cities. Dalisi's work influenced Studio Alchimia and the Memphis group, and he was also associated with the Postmodernism or Neomodernism movement led by Alessandro Mendini. Dalisi was a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Federico II University of Naples, where he held the chair of Architectural Design and was also the director and lecturer of the School of Specialization in Industrial Design. He was awarded the Compasso d'Oro prize in 2014.
