Biography:

Robbert Flick is a Southern California artist who uses photography as his primary medium. He was born in Amersfoort, Holland in 1939. Flick received a B.A. at the University of British Columbia and an M.A. and M.F.A. at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently a professor of studio arts at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Flick received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 1982 and 1984. His work often explores urban and rural landscapes with elegance, wit, and conceptual and formal rigor.
