Biography:
Robertas Antinis was born in Kaunas, Lithuania on June 9, 1946. He is a Lithuanian sculptor, performance artist, and poet. Antinis graduated from the Applied Arts School in Riga in 1965 and entered the Latvian State Art Academy in the same year. He obtained the industrial artist's specialty in 1970. Antinis worked as a teacher at Kaunas children's art school in 1973-75. From 1997, he was a lecturer of Vilnius Art Academy and a docent at the Kaunas Art Institute. He has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1974. Antinis started participating in exhibitions from 1969 and is a member of the Post Ars group. He is a winner of the National Culture and Art Prize. Antinis works in the fields of sculpture, object, performance, and installation.
