Biography:

Iulian Olariu, also known as Romeo-Iulian Olariu, is a Romanian artist born in Iași, Romania in 1964. He is a sculptor, painter, and illustrator, known for his contributions to Romanian art, particularly in engravings, drawings, and applied graphics. Olariu has represented Romania in many engravings, drawings, and applied graphics, and his work has been exhibited in the Romanian pavilion during the Venice Biennale arts festivals. He is also a University Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry and the Director of CERNESIM Center from the ‘Alexandru Ion Cuza’ University of Iasi. Olariu has a PhD in Chemistry and has published several scientific papers in the field of chemistry. He is also a member of the European Association of Chemistry and the Environment and has served as its president from 2016 to 2017.
