Biography:

Romina Garrido is an Argentine visual artist and educator born in Libertador General San Martín, Jujuy, Argentina in 1975. She has been producing artworks since 2003 and currently resides in Rosario. Garrido holds a degree in Fine Arts from the National University of Rosario (UNR). She co-founded Cero, an autogestive space for transdisciplinary artistic production between 2003 and 2013. In 2010, she participated in the exhibition 'La naturaleza de las mujeres' curated by Adriana Armando at Osde in Rosario. Garrido presented her installation 'Haces' at the Municipal Astronomical Complex of Rosario in 2012. She co-curated the exhibition 'Revolucionistas. Rebeliones y feminismos' with Sonia Tessa, Lilian Alba, Joaquina Parma, and Pamela Gerosa at the Roberto Fontanarrosa Cultural Center in 2019. Garrido also presented her installation 'Tiempo de nada' at Mal de archivo in 2019. In January 2020, she participated in the Casa de Piedra residency in Santa María, Catamarca, and visited Libertador General San Martín, Jujuy during the same trip. She was part of the PALA2020 program for artists at LAVA gallery in Rafaela in 2020. Garrido participated in the exhibition 'Entre la dimensión procesual y la conversación infinita / Pala 2020' curated by Nancy Rojas at the Dr. Urbano Poggi Municipal Museum of Art in Rafaela in 2021. She was selected for the FNA Creation Grant along with Alejandra Fábregas for their project 'Bagazo' in 2021. Garrido held her solo exhibition 'Cronotopía' at EstudioG gallery in Rosario and collaborated on the performatic-theatrical project 'Proyecto REC' directed by Jesica Biancotto, designing the spatial and scenographic elements in 2022.
