Biography:
Ryo Shinagawa is a painter who lives in Kyoto, Japan. He creates works that reflect his interest in East Asian painting traditions and contemporary issues. His paintings are grounded in hundreds of years of tradition, from the simplicity of Zen Buddhism to the gold-leafed Rinpa school. Shinagawa's artworks have been exhibited in various galleries and museums, including the Ronin Gallery, Kooness, and the Asia Society. He has also been featured in press releases by MARPH.
