Safaruddin Dyn, also known as Safaruddin Bin Abdul Hamid, is a Singaporean artist born in 1977. He is known for his distinctly local-flavored paintings, often recreating old photographs as colorful paintings and evoking nostalgia for the past. Safaruddin holds a Diploma in Fine Art from LASALLE College of the Arts and a Bachelor's degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). He has received several awards, including The Winston Oh Travel Award in 2002. Safaruddin has exhibited in numerous key galleries and museums, and his works have been showcased in several solo and group shows.
