Biography:

Saka Aremu is a Nigerian artist who was one of the earliest members of the New Sacred Art Movement. His works of art appear prominently in the Groves, including 30 or more sculptures in the marketplace. Among these are the Chameleon Gate Wall and the Ọjà Oǹtótóo: Sango, God of Thunder. He was a protégé of Susanne Wenger and was known for creating an intimate amphitheater in the late 1960s. There is not much information available about his personal life, including his birth and death years.
