Biography:

Samuel Baur was a German pastor and writer. He was born on January 31, 1768 in Ulm, Germany, and died on May 25, 1832 in Göttingen, Germany. Baur was destined for the ecclesiastical state from childhood and studied theology, history, and literature at the universities of Iéna and Tubingen. He became a pastor in Burtenberg, near Ulm, in 1794, and later served as a pastor in Göttingen. Baur was known for his eloquence in preaching and his contributions to literature. He died in Göttingen at the age of 64.
