Biography:
Sandra Backlund is a Swedish fashion designer, born in Stockholm in 1975. She graduated from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm in 2004 and has been working full-time on her own label since then. Backlund is known for her handcrafted knitwear with sculptural elements, approaching fashion as an art form. She has been recognized for her work in the fashion industry, including winning the fashion category at the Festival of Fashion and Photography in Hyères in 2007. Backlund's work has been exhibited at the Gothenburg Museum of Art and she has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Contributor Magazine, and Ideal MAG.
