Biography:

Scott Chaseling is an Australian glass artist born in Darwin in 1962. He is known for his sculptural glass works, often created using the technique of glass casting. Chaseling studied at the Canberra School of Art, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 and a Master of Arts degree in 1990. He has since exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Australia and internationally. Chaseling has also taught glass art at various institutions, including the Canberra School of Art and the University of Sydney. In 2009, he was awarded the Ranamok Glass Prize, a prestigious annual award given to glass artists who live in Australia or New Zealand. Chaseling's work is held in various public and private collections, including the National Gallery of Australia and the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington.
