Biography:
exonemo is an artist unit formed in 1996 by Kensuke Sembo and Yae Akaiwa. They are known for their experimental projects that explore the paradoxes of the digital and analog environments surrounding us. Their works have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions worldwide, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and Prix Ars Electronica, where they won the Golden Nica for Net Vision category in 2006. They have been organizing the IDPW gatherings and 'Internet Yami-Ichi' since 2012. They live and work in New York since 2015.
