Simonetta Visconti, also known as Simonetta, was born in Rome, Italy in 1922. She was an Italian countess who became known as one of the most celebrated Italian fashion designers of her time and was described as the first lady of Italian fashion. She was a member of the Colonna family. In 1946, under her married name, Simonetta Visconti, she opened a design studio and she quickly became one of the most famous designers in Rome. She was 'discovered' by the Italian aristocracy and quickly became a favorite among them. In 1953, she married Alberto Fabiani, another famous Italian fashion designer, and together they formed the fashion house 'Simonetta et Fabiani'. They were known for their elegant and sophisticated designs and were considered to be the epitome of Italian fashion. Simonetta passed away in Italy.
