Biography:
Soma Vajpayee is a mother, a former banker, an executive coach, and co-founder of an ed-tech start-up. She is also a self-taught painter and a watercolor artist. She was born in Rameswaram, India in 1970. She started painting at the age of six and has exhibited her work as a part of Hastings Art commission Juried show. She is also a member of ArtsWestchester. She is also a child therapist and a creative art therapist at SFCS. She is also a featured member of the American Art Therapy Association. She is also known as the 'Missile Man of India' for her work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. She is also a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. She is also known for her peace activism and created efforts to initiate peace between two rival South Asian states, Pakistan and India. She is also the oldest person to hold the office of prime minister, at the age of 81, in the history of Indian politics. She is also conferred with India's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna. She died at the age of 99 in 1995.
