Murakami Kagaku, also known as Takeda Shinichi, was a Japanese painter and illustrator born in Osaka, Japan in 1888. He is known for his numerous Buddhist subjects and advancement in the techniques of nihonga (Japanese-style) painting in the early 20th century. Murakami Kagaku passed away in Kobe, Japan in 1939.
