Biography:

Xiaoming Tang received the B.S. degree from Beijing University, Beijing, China, in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree from MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 1990. He joined Baker Atlas, Houston, TX, USA, in 1994 as a Project Leader for acoustic processing and interpretation ... Tang Xiaoming (1939-2022) was born in Lingchuan, Guangxi Province. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1964 and was assigned to work as a professional painter at the Guangdong Painting Academy. With a career spanning six decades, Tang, 80, is honorary chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association and has created dozens of portraits both of luminaries like Lu Xun.
