Biography:
Taqralik Partridge is a writer, spoken word poet and curator originally from Kuujjuaq, Nunavik, QC, now living in Kautokeino, Norway. Partridge's writing focuses on both life in the north and in southern urban centres, as well as the experiences of Inuit. She is currently the future director of the Labo nordique du Centre SAW in Ottawa, Canada. Partridge has been shortlisted for the 2024 Sobey Art Award, representing the Circumpolar category. She is also a textile artist, writer, and spoken word poet. Partridge has been a conservator at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Canada since 2022, focusing on Indigenous art. She has also been a performer and throat-singer.
