Biography:

Tawaraya Sōri was a Japanese artist who was active during the Edo period (1615–1868). He was a member of the Tawaraya School and is best known for his brush paintings and surimono, which are decorative prints often used as gifts or for special occasions. Sōri was also associated with the famous artist Katsushika Hokusai and is believed to have influenced his work. Despite his significant contributions to Japanese art, little is known about Sōri's life, including his exact birth and death dates.
