Terengganu Limar Songket Craft Entrepreneurs is a group of artisans from Terengganu, Malaysia, specialized in the production of Limar Songket, a traditional Malaysian textile. The Limar Sarong with Interlocking Bay Motif, dated 1995, is one of their creations. The Limar Sarong is used by aristocrats and palace royalties during royal occasions and features the interlocking bay motif. The art of weaving Kain Limar is all but gone as there is no documentation of its practices and development. However, the craftsmanship of Terengganu Limar Songket Craft Entrepreneurs continues to preserve this legacy of textile. The group is known for producing high-quality Limar Songket, which is expensive due to the silk thread binding techniques used in weaving the textile and the incorporation of intricate motifs, gold threads, and traditional patterns.
