Biography:
Theresa Dankovich is a scientist and entrepreneur who co-founded Folia Water in 2016. She is the inventor of the Drinkable Book, a paper-based water filter that can provide safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Dankovich received her PhD in Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014. She has been recognized for her work with several awards, including the 2014 Lemelson-MIT Student Prize and the 2016 National Geographic Emerging Explorer award. Dankovich is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Folia Water, where she continues to develop and improve the Drinkable Book and other innovative water filtration technologies.
