Biography:

Thomas Braida is an Italian painter born in Gorizia in 1982. He lives and works in Venice, Brescia, and Dobbia. Braida graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2010. His work is characterized by a distinctive ability to interpret the history of European painting in terms of variations in mark-making. Braida's paintings often reference mythology and history, and he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across Europe. He has also participated in artist residencies, including at the SEA Foundation in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
