Biography:

Tim Budden is a Welsh artist who has been living in Taiwan since 1990. He discovered the island and was so intrigued by its exotic Asian culture that he decided to settle there permanently. Budden initially worked as an English teacher, but his passion for art led him to create paper lattices inspired by Chinese and Taiwanese paper cutting craft. His work is influenced by his soup of cultures and different skills, and he has exhibited his art in various galleries and museums in Taiwan and abroad. Budden is also known for his role as Chief Technology Officer at Kooth Plc, a digital mental health company, and as a Non-Executive Director for international property company Sonae Sierra SGPS. He holds a doctorate and an undergraduate degree from the University of Oxford.
