Biography:

Vasile Celmare was a Romanian painter and professor. He was born on May 10, 1931, in Breaza de Sus, Romania. Celmare attended the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts from 1951 to 1957 and later became a professor at the same institution's Department of Monumental Art. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous personal and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, winning several prizes for his work. Celmare's style was characterized by a philosophical approach to art, blending idea and sensitivity into vibrant poetry. He passed away on June 1, 2019, in Bucharest.
