Biography:
Viktor Palmov was a Russian and Ukrainian painter and avant-garde artist (Futurist and Neo-primitivist) from the David Burliuk circle. He was born on 10 October 1888 in Samara, Russian Empire. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture from 1911 to 1914. In 1920-1921, he traveled to Japan with David Burliuk. From 1925 to 1929, he was a professor at the Kyiv Art Academy. He was a member of the Association of the Revolutionary Art of the Ukraine (ARMU) and the Contemporary Ukrainian Artists Union (OSMU). He died on 7 July 1929 in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union.
