Biography:
Vincas Kisarauskas (1934-1988) was a Lithuanian painter, graphic artist, and scenographer. He is considered one of the most progressive artists of Soviet-era Lithuania and a representative of radical (pots)modernism. Kisarauskas was known for his bold experiments with art forms and his ability to combine different styles and techniques. He was also an art critic and writer who published articles on art and photography. Kisarauskas's work was not widely recognized during his lifetime due to the restrictions of Soviet-era censorship, but he has since gained recognition as a pioneering figure in Lithuanian modernism.
