Biography:

Vittorio Guaccimanni was born in Ravenna, Italy in 1859 and died in 1938. He was a pittore and incisore. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Ravenna and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He was known for his paintings of battles and horses, as well as his work in aquaforte. He exhibited his work in several international exhibitions, including the Exposition of Paris in 1900, Vienna in 1901, and Buenos Aires in 1910. He was also a teacher and director of the Accademia di Belle Arti in Ravenna. He was a master of aquaforte and one of his students was Gaspare Gambi. He was also a director of the Regia Scuola Superiore d'Arte Applicata alle Industrie in Venice. He was a long-time docent of Belle Arti in Ravenna. His works are in collections around the world, including the Galleria d'arte moderna in Ravenna.
