Vivienne Joyce Binns is an Australian artist, known for her contribution to the Women's Art Movement in Australia and her engagement with feminism in her artwork. She works predominantly in painting. Binns was born in 1940 in Australia. Her personal name, Vivienne, is derived from a Latin name of the Roman Empire period, Vivianus and Viviana, which survived into modern use because it is the name of two early Christian female martyrs as well as of a male saint and bishop. Binns is an English surname.
