Biography:

Walter Mattioli is an Italian researcher and football club president. He studied at the University of Tuscia, graduating in Forestry and Environmental Sciences in 2004 and completing a PhD in Environment and Territory in 2008. Mattioli has worked as a senior researcher at CREA Foreste e Legno and is currently the scientific responsible for the Italian National Forest Inventory and the first Carta Forestale d'Italia. He has also been the president of SPAL, a professional football club based in Ferrara, from 2013 to 2021.
