Wang Qingsong is a Chinese photographer born in Daqing, China in 1966. He grew up in Hubei and studied at the Sichuan Academy of Art. He moved to Beijing in 1993. Wang Qingsong is one of China's most acclaimed contemporary artists, known for his works that comment on the overwhelming changes that have occurred in his native country over 40 years. His works are known for their humor and irony, often addressing consumer culture in China.
