Yu-Yang Wang is a Chinese classical pianist, born on February 10, 1987, in Beijing, China. She began learning piano at the age of six and quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent. In 2007, she made her debut at the age of 21, replacing Martha Argerich in a performance with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Since then, she has become one of the most sought-after pianists in the world, performing with prestigious orchestras and ensembles such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Wang is known for her dynamic performances, technical virtuosity, and charismatic stage presence. She has released several albums under the Deutsche Grammophon label, including 'Transformation' (2010), 'Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2; Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 3' (2012), and 'The Berlin Recital' (2014). In addition to her successful career as a pianist, Wang is also a dedicated educator and has given masterclasses and workshops around the world. She is currently a professor at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
