Biography:

Wang Zhideng was a Chinese artist born in Suzhou in 1535 and died in 1612. He was a renowned poet, painter, and calligrapher of the late Ming dynasty. He was known for his delicate brushwork and his use of light colors in his paintings, which often depicted landscapes, orchids, and bamboo. He was also a social person and many of his paintings may have been given away at parties. He was a friend of the famous Yiji Ma Shouzhen and collaborated with her in several paintings and poems.
