Biography:

Nozomi Watanabe is a Japanese former ice dancer. She was born on February 18, 1971, in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan. She regularly danced with Akiyuki Kido, and together they are the three-time Japanese national champions. They placed 15th at the Torino Olympics. After retiring from ice dancing, Nozomi Watanabe became a lawyer and is currently practicing in the areas of corporate law, international commercial transactions, litigation and dispute resolution, and international and domestic taxation. She is fluent in Japanese.
