Biography:

Wendy Klemperer was born in 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts. She grew up in Cambridge and Watertown, and spent summers at her grandmother's country house, where she could explore her passion for animals and nature. She earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry at Harvard before moving to New York City to pursue art full-time. She earned a B.F.A. in sculpture at Pratt Institute in 1983. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York and Nelson, New Hampshire. She is represented in Maine by June Fitzpatrick Gallery.
