William Spratling was an American-born silver designer and artist, best known for his influence on 20th century Mexican silver design. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky, United States on September 22, 1900 and died in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico on August 7, 1967. Spratling is a surname and notable people with the surname include Australian rules footballer Col Spratling, British composer Huw Spratling, American silversmith and artist William Spratling, American neurologist William P.
