Xabier Kerexeta

Biography:

Xabier Kerexeta is a Spanish historian and ethnographer. He has worked on various projects related to the history and culture of the Basque Country. Kerexeta has written articles and books on topics such as the Cagots, a persecuted minority in the west of France and northern Spain, and the history of mugarriak, traditional stone markers found in the Basque region. He is also involved with the Gipuzkoako Gordailu, a center for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage in the province of Gipuzkoa.
