Biography:

Xianyu Shu, also known as Boji, was a notable poet, collector, connoisseur and calligrapher of the Yuan Dynasty. He was a native of Yuyang in Hebei province and served the Mongol court in a high-ranking position. He was known for his calligraphy and connoisseurship, and was respected for his 'heroic' northern spirit. He moved south to Hangzhou at the age of thirty and impressed his southern friends with his calligraphy and connoisseurship. He was also a collector and connoisseur of art and antiquities.
