Biography:

Yacouba Bonde is a sculptor from Burkina Faso, known for his large and spectacular masks. One of his most famous works is the 'Plank Mask nwententay' which is over six feet tall. Bonde's work has been exhibited in various places, including the Birmingham Museum of Art in the United States. He is also a promoter of the culture of the Bwa people.
