Biography:

Yao Hua was a Chinese artist who was born in Peking in 1876. He was a close friend of Chen Hengke and shared his interest in ancient script styles and his belief that an expressive modern idiom lay within the limits imposed by Chinese art. He was a graduate of the Fine Art Department of Taiwan Normal University. Yao Hua's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 479 USD to 11,500 USD. He is known for his work in Chinese Asian Antiquities. Yao Hua died in 1930.
