Biography:

Yasser Safi was born in Qamishli, Syria in 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University in 1997. His artistic practices vary between printing, drawing, and sculpture, focusing on daily life and the marginal. Parody and sarcasm have always been powerful tools in Yaser’s artistic language, which has developed over the years and become a means of social and political protest. He has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions across the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.
