Biography:

Yulia Sopina is a Russian artist born in Leningrad in 1968. She graduated from Leningrad Art College named after Serov in 1987. Since 2004, she has been a member of the St. Petersburg creative union of artists. Her work has been exhibited in numerous key galleries and museums, including the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art. Sopina's art is inspired by various themes, including opera, Soviet propaganda photographs, and majolica sculptures in Florence’s Ospedale degli Innocenti. Her notable works include 'Self-Portrait Sopina' and 'Angel', both of which are in the permanent collection of the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art.
