Biography:

Zofia Kulik is a Polish artist born in Wrocław in 1947. She is known for her sculptures, actions, performances, photographs, collages, objects and installations. She studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and worked with Przemysław Kwiek from 1971 to 1987 under the name Kwiekulik. Their productions are influenced by the notion of open form of the Polish architect Oskar Hansen. In her individual work, Zofia Kulik is interested in forms of art that combine political criticism with a feminist perspective.
