This painting belongs to my series Los mareados (The dizzy ones): a series of soft and unarticulated characters that intervene the spaces and relationships in different ways. Since 2018, they integrate different situations, such as the “Fantasía y abstracción” concert (2019), where they were scattered around the floor, functioning as cushions for the attendants and assuming the positions of the people and the bodies that used them. The characters of this painting were part of the collective show “Adentro no hay más que una morada” in Museo de Arte Moderno. On that year, their portraits participated in the solo show “Las noches” in Galería Grasa, and 2022, the collective show “Es tierra melancolía perros, y la ruta avanza” in Quimera Galería. Lately, I’ve been rehearsing on possible affective bonds and interactive relationships between the bodies of these dolls and the human bodies.
