Choreography by Vasily Vainonen to the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and libretto by Marius Petipa and Vasily Vainonen. Costumes and set by Vladimir Firer and Aleksandr Khramtsov. In this scene, on Christmas Eve, children are caught up in the excitement of the end-of-year celebrations and are spellbound by the spectacle before their eyes.
